Program for High School students who want to live a short educational experience abroad.

Winter - January 3rd to 23rd | 2020

Summer - July 3rd to 23rd | 2020

ACADEMIC CONTENT

  • English classes
  • Attending undergraduate classes at the universities

  • Cultural presentation: Be a Liaison!

  • Orientation about American universities' admission process

  • High School Day

  • Leadership & entrepreneurship workshops

  • Volunteering with NGOs

  • Meetings with CEOs and visits to companies.

  • Journaling: The participants will write about their experiences daily on a journal provided by Liaison.
     

EVENTS & TOURISM

  • Welcome dinner

  • Sport events at the universities

  • Cultural dinner with the university professors

  • City Tour: tourism and sight-seeing at the cities we will visit

  • Shopping at outlet malls (expenses financed by students)

  • Farewell dinner and Certificate ceremony

  • Three days in Washington, D.C.: museum visits, national monuments & more.

  • Three days in New York City*, including housing and transportation.

    • *Tours and activities in New York City are financed by the students.

ACADEMIC PROJECT

The academic project is an optional research project developed by students months before the program starts, which will be presented by the student to the institutions, such as universities and non-governmental organizations.
Mentorship: The student receives guidance and assistance from a college student who has already gone through the academic project development process. During the mentoring process, the student chooses the topic to be addressed, methodology and practices his presentation with his mentor.

The program provides:
  • Housing at the universities with breakfast and lunch;
  • Housing with breakfast at the hotels; 
  • Road transportation throughout the period;
  • Travel Insurance with $ 60,000.00 dollars coverage;
  • Guidance throughout VISA application process;
  • Certificate: 40 hours of English courses, leadership courses and academic experiences;
The participant must provide:​​
  • Flight ticket: LA will indicate the flight so the group of students will travel together, but each participant must make the purchase of the individual flight, adapting to their needs, period and forms of payment; 
  • Meals cost, aside from what it is being mentioned above (ex: personal meals, meals at restaurants, etc);
  • Passport and VISA expenses;
  • Any other unmentioned expense.
